NOTE: It is the duty of any forum member to use the “flag” function to report any of these behaviors to the moderation team.
###7 Day Suspension
Commenting on a thread without having read it. Claiming to have read the thread but not understood it will generally not be considered an acceptable excuse.
Creating a religious thread, whether to promote or attack that religion (This only includes white religions such as all forms of Christianity, neo-paganism, Mormonism, Creativity, etc. You are allowed to create threads to insult or attack non-white religions such as Judaism, Islam or Hinduism, and also cults, such as Jehovah’s Witnesses.)
Creating a thread which attacks or spreads drama about any other pro-white website or pro-white personality (this includes figures and websites who are universally hated). This only applies to specifically pro-white individuals and groups, “Alt-Lite” figures who would be classified as “civic nationalists” are allowed to be attacked.
Creating a “x group is not really white” thread, or starting an “x group is not white” debate within any thread" (this includes historic Christendom, as well as certain white populations in South America; it excludes Mestizos, Albanians, Lebanese, Persians, high-caste Indians and other groups that people claim are white).
Posting hardcore pornography.
Attempting to cleverly avoid the no violence rule by making posts that are “technically” not illegal (“I hope x illegal act does/doesn’t happen to x person,” “x person deserves x illegal act,” etc.) This includes posting meme images of specific individuals being murdered.
Linking to sites which allow for illegal downloads, including torrent sites.
###3 Day Suspension
Flaming (all people involved in the flame war will get the same suspension, whether they started it or not - if someone starts flaming or insulting you, report them instead of responding).
Ungentlemanly behavior (a pattern of rudeness or name-calling).
Derailing a thread to argue about religion (all people involved in the argument will get the same suspension, whether they started it or not).
Derailing a thread to argue about anything (the difference between “argument” and “debate” should be intuitively understood).
Posting softcore pornography (including MET Art-type “examples of Aryan beauty”).
Posting “gore” (this includes mutilated bodies of any race, suicide victims, people with their heads blown off, aborted fetuses and mutilated animals; this includes acts of mutilation of whites by nonwhites). “Gore” content can be linked to, but with an explicit warning.
Randomly accusing another poster of being a Jew (if you think someone is a Jew, report them, and their account will be reviewed by a mod).
Engaging and arguing with an anti-social or ungentlemanly poster, instead of reporting them (if a certain number of users report an account, they will be blocked from posting - the only response you should make to an anti-social poster is to encourage others to report their account).
Posting obvious bait threads.
Continued poor quality posting.
Femspaining. This is when a woman injects herself into a male conversation or topic and tries to explain something to them.
NOTE: Creating a new account to avoid a suspension or to come on and complain about a suspension (ban aversion) results in a deletion of the new account and a 10 day ban added to the original account that was suspended.
NOTE II: The site’s publisher, Andrew Anglin, is not involved in moderation, and he is a busy person, so if you email him personally to complain about site moderation, he may decide to involve himself in moderation and add ten days or more onto your suspension.
Promoting specific acts of violence.
Promoting or describing how to commit any illegal act (under American law), including vandalism, fraud, illegal weapons modification, the purchase of illegal drugs, etc.
Posting homosexual pornography.
Posting interracial pornography.
Calling for violent revolution against the government.
A repeated pattern of disrespecting the forum culture.
A repeated pattern of anti-social behavior.
A repeated pattern of claiming that the Administrator of the site or other site staff is a Jew or a secret agent, or repeatedly insulting site staff.
Having been suspended multiple times for any of the 7 and 3 day ban rules.
Spamming for another website or trying to sell some product. You are of course allowed to post links to other sites, and you are even allowed to make threads about products you are selling, but you are not allowed to use this site as an advertising platform.
NOTE: None of these suspensions or bans can be appealed.
NOTE II: Though this is intended to be a comprehensive list, it is possible to be suspended or banned for reasons which are not on this list.
Your post could have been deleted for multiple reasons.
The first reason is that it suggested violence, or could be construed in a court of law to have suggested violence. If this was the case, and seemed purposeful, you were presumably banned as well.
Another reason is that it is bait. Posts specifically designed to cause flame wars are banned. On our forum, these tend to be religious or anti-religious posts, but other forms of bait are generally banned. Flaming in itself is banned.
Along with this,
We also reserve the right to delete anything that we think is total crap.
We believe in free speech. But if we allow unlimited free speech, it ends up destroying normal conversation, which effectively removes the ability of others to exercise their own free speech. As such, free speech is not an absolute value.
Occasionally people ask us to delete their accounts. We don’t do this. This is a community. Your comments here are part of the conversation that belongs to everyone that reads the Daily Stormer. Once you make them, they are the property of the community. Stop using the website if you wish, but you can’t tracelessly mangle a bunch of previous threads where people took the time to carefully respond to you. This community simply does not work that way.
Please treat this discussion forum with the basic decency one would expect a white man to display. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.
These are not hard and fast rules, merely aids to the human judgment of our community. Use these guidelines to keep this a clean, well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.
Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.
The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.
One way to improve the discussion is by discovering ones that are already happening. Please spend some time browsing the topics here before replying or starting your own, and you’ll have a better chance of meeting others who share your interests.
Another way is to put a significant amount of effort into your post. Try to make it a couple paragraphs long, and use citations and quotes from various sources if possible. Instead of flooding a thread with short responses or single memes, try to make discussion threads filled with thoughtful, well-cited banter.
You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to save your hatred for nonwhites, not your fellow Stormers. Please avoid:
- Ad hominem attacks.
- Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content.
- Knee-jerk contradiction.
Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
The conversations we have here set the tone for everyone. Help us influence the future of this community by choosing to engage in discussions that make this forum an interesting place to be — and avoiding those that do not.
This forum provides tools that enable the community to collectively identify the best (and worst) contributions: favorites, bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and so forth. Use these tools to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.
Let’s try to leave the white race better than we found it.
Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators, not just janitors or police.
When you see JIDF shilling, don’t reply. It encourages the filthy Jews by acknowledging their sniveling shitposts, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.
In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts in any way; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.
Nothing sabotages a healthy conversation like rudeness:
- Be civil. Don’t post anything that a reasonable white supremacist would consider nigger-like, Jewish, or anti-white.
- Keep it clean. Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit. Remember that Jews control the pornography industry and use such imagery to pacify the white race.
- Respect each other. Don’t harass, impersonate, or dox your fellow pro-whites.
- Respect our forum. Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize the forum.
- Integrate yourself with the culture. This place has a unique culture unlike other websites and we will quickly expel those who post without conforming to it.
- NO RELIGIOUS FLAMEWARS. Seriously, this is absolutely toxic and derails threads. Whether you follow Christ, Wotan, or Wr.alda we expect you to respect the religions of others and not get involved in attacking someone because of their church or spiritual organization.
These are not concrete terms with precise definitions — avoid even the appearance of any of these things. If you’re unsure, ask yourself how you would feel if your post was featured in an introduction to Mein Kampf.
This is a public forum, and search engines index these discussions. Keep the language, links, and images safe for family and friends.
Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:
- Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
- Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
- Don’t post no-content replies, or flood a thread with memes unrelated to the article at hand. Keep discussion thoughtful and on-topic!
- Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
- Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.
Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a Linked Topic.
Occasionally someone will have personal problems with other people they met on the forum. We do not care. We used to not have a forum at all and at times we might think we were better for it. This forum came about because we were banned from the Disqus commenting system (the only site on the Internet ever to be so persecuted as to have this happen so far) and needed a new comment engine for the blog. It gets around a 60th of the blog’s traffic, so we should spend about 1/60th of our time on it. Instead, it now consumes most of the money it takes to keep the site running and is a huge timesink. We have trouble keeping this place basely policed and moderated.
What we cannot under any circumstances do is police the personal lives of the people who use the site. This is not a dating or hookup site. We do not care if Billy and Janie have a problem with eachother. We are now effectively the #53 newspaper in the United States and work 75 hours a week to keep this place running because we have a tiny fraction of the workforce of a publication our size. We are overworked and understaffed. We find the mission of this website extremely valuable. It is all about the mission. If you support this site, you do so for the advancement of the mission.
The mission is not your personal life. It cannot be your personal life. It is mass outreach of informing millions of people monthly about the problem we call the Jew.
We can’t police this place. You are going to police yourselves, or you are going to go elsewhere. If you have a problem with someone else, take it off the forum. Show up IRL and work it out amongst yourselves. Fistfight or sue or whatever, but don’t call us about it. Your personal issues are very far away from our list of concerns.
If you are the initiator of any sort of drama you will be assumed to be the party in the wrong.
Occasionally people make threads whose entire purpose is to denigrate other pro-white activists. If you have a problem with another community or personality this is not the place to air it. If you dislike someone’s work, don’t discuss it in public. We want to create a good community, not attack other people attempting to do the same.
This obviously doesn’t apply to the Jew MILO or Gavin McCuck or the other elements of the alt-kike, shit talk those faggots all you want, but don’t ever attack communities smaller than us. Only punch upwards. You should know what we’re talking about and if you can’t figure it out we’ll just ban you.
Attacking other communities is just another way of starting drama. We have no tolerance for drama. Act like a gossiping whore and we will toss you out like one.
You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission. You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.
You can, however, use short quotations from other sites with a linkback in accordance with fair use.
This site is operated by your friendly local staff and you, the community. If you have any further questions about how things should work here, open a new topic in the site feedback category and let’s discuss!
